If looking for a budget option while staying in Centro this hotel simply can't be beat. The four floors are easy to navigate, with a nice lobby and tiny but cute pool area to lounge in. This pool doesn't get any sunlight, but would be a welcome cold dip in the warmer months. There is a small sports bar and rooftop restaurant on premises that I honestly didn't see anyone use, probably because the real fun and good food are just a few blocks north anyway. The room was chaste and lifeless but very spacious and well appointed. It had a larger than average mini fridge, coffee maker, and most importantly a roomy balcony offering a magnificent sunset view if your lucky enough to get the oceanfront. A very large vanity and closet area accompanies a spacious shower with the normal Mexican standard mediocre water pressure. Overall this room was well worth the price paid. The woman working the front counter most days never cracked a smile once and seemed genuinely uninterested in her job, but was never rude outright and still efficient and timely at getting us new towels or sending someone up to fix the safe. All the other staff were very kind and attentive. The main attraction of this hotel is it's close proximity to Centro, everything else is just icing on the cake. It is a nice ten minute walk to the beach and just a few blocks from the start of the main Hidalgo where the majority of the fun bars and restaurants are. Not having to deal with a taxi and being able to walk straight here with our luggage was also very convenient. Street noise can be loud at peak times yet we never had an issue when it was actually time for bed, but free earplugs are provided if it proves an annoyance. All and all this hotel was an amazing value for the price when considering its location and amenities. Would definitely stay again!

OK, so this is going to be a long review! We stayed at Hotel Bahia CHAC Chi for 7 days in Isla Mujures. We arrived on the island early in the morning due to a red-eye plane ride. We went straight to the hotel to see if we could drop off our bags before going exploring. The front desk lady, who we now know as Yanin, allowed us to store our bags in the back of the hotel and locked them up for us. I did ask if we could check in any earlier, and she set it up so we could message each other on whatsapp (super handy). We came back after food, and they got us in early. We know this doesn't happen all the time, so we appreciate this. Our stay was wonderful. The cleaners were so good to us! We felt safe. We had an issue while on the island with a cab driver charging us 20000 pesos rather than 200, but both Yanis and Jonathan were SO helpful with getting the issue resolved and helping us get my money back. We truly appreciate all your help. You guys gotta give those two a RAISE! They deserve it! Any questions we had they answered happily! The pool is smaller, but my kids loved it! The location is very close to the ferry, which is handy!!! The one and only complaint I will say, is the traffic is quite loud all night. But thankfully we sleep pretty hard after the sunshine all day!! Thank you for the wonderful stay, Bahia Chac Chi, we will be back!!

Absolutely fantastic stay! I made a mistake during booking, but the front desk supervisor extremely helpful and accommodating. They handled everything with patience, professionalism, and a warm, welcoming attitude that instantly put me at ease. The hotel itself is spotless, and my ocean-side view from the 3rd floor was exactly what I had envisioned. The location couldn’t be better: close enough to downtown for convenience but just far enough to escape the noise and street sellers. Only a 5-minute walk to Playa Central, 10-15 minutes to Playa Norte, and just 2-3 minutes from the ferry pier. Surrounded by great restaurants and things to do. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for enjoyable stay!

The room was simple but clean and had a great view. My Shower was amazing. They spent the extra for the shower system. It was a welcome delight after snorkeling. The staff was super helpful and friendly in both English and Spanish. As a female, I felt very safe. The hotel is just a few blocks from everything. I will definitely be back.

A great place to stay on the island, great location, accommodations, and staff. Especially Johnny, he really made us feel welcome.
